TK Drum Tuition
I’m Theo, a professional drummer and drum teacher based in Scarborough, with many years of experience performing, studying and teaching drums.
Alongside running TK Drum Tuition, I work as an Instrumental Instructor with North Yorkshire Music Service, teaching drums and percussion to children and young people across the county.
My approach to teaching is friendly, structured and tailored to each student. Lessons combine strong fundamentals, technique, coordination and musical understanding with learning real music, helping students build confidence, make steady progress and, most importantly, enjoy playing the drums.

Graded Progression
Music grades provide an excellent means to monitor your progress over time, and here at TK Drum Tuition, we integrate the Rock School syllabus into our curriculum. From Grade 1 to Grade 8 drums, these books emphasize playing with actual songs encompassing a wide range of genres. Sight reading and theory
Sight reading and music theory serve as indispensable skills for Drummers. They are not Just useful but fundamental tools in a Drummers toolkit. Music. Developing proficiency in sight reading and music theory equips Drummers with the ability to fluently converse and collaborate with a global community of fellow musicians, extending well beyond the confines of their formal education and practice.
